Animal Mechanicals Aliif 1st Birthday Bash! ~ Part 1 ~

Planning your child's 1st birthday is by no means an easy feat. Thought of getting the party supplies from US wayyy back when he was .. wat.. when he was stil 6mths old. In the end, last minute punya planning of course tak sempat la right. Anyways the shipping would cost a bomb so its a blessing in disguise. Wish i had planned properly then i wouldve time to customize my own cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers, snack cup wrappers and treat bag tags...etc.. maybe next year.. hmmm... Now on to my party planning items..

Theme : HAH! Easy!! His eyes get glued on telly when his Animal Mechanical cartoon is on. DONE.

Venue : A place where kids & parents can enjoy and MOST IMPORTANTLY no need to have a scheduled event - i picked The Club @ Bukit Utama. The kiddies pool is super cool with the slides & all. MARVELOUSITY.

Time : Petang of coz.. just 2-3 hours bcoz babies get cranky & tired easily. CHECK.

Invites : DONE

The Cake : Came up with my own design for an Animal Mechanical themed cake & acquired help from colleagues wife's ( who also had tonnes of ideas) to make it happen. TQ Hijrah Bakers!

Major cuteness kann!!

I even asked to make brightly rainbow colored cake layers to match the theme =) Turned out beautifully!

The Family Uniform : Saw a machine embroidery shop at Ampang Park that specializes on stiching logos on blouses. Had custom ordered ABAH, MOMMY & ALIIF on our tshirts. SWEET!

I must credit the cafe team of The Club@Bukit Utama as they were prompt & gave exceptional service to our baby's event. Look out for Emma or Awe for events management =)

Songkok budak @ carrefour midvalley

Salam ramadhan to all! Went to carrefour yesterday to stock up diapers despite takde sale.. Too long to wait for sale la.. And we found songkok for kids! RM9.90 only..! Grabbed one despite Aliif tangan gatal keeps grabbing and throwing it away haha.. In these picture he may seemed 'baik' but as you can see abah is holding on to his hands while i take pictures.. Gerammmnye ngan budak ni!

Uncrafty creative colorful buttons

Im proud to say this was inspired by my good friend Rosalynn.. It was back in college days when we were half awake trying to concentrate on a lecture, as I yawn indiscreetly and grab the sleep from my eyes, I saw a glimpse of what Rosalynn's was wearing, a brown Laura Ashley dress humbly covered by a black knitted cardigan. The cardi, a little frayed at the seams near the wrist area, I could see an attempt made to sew the cardi's seams as to keep it together. What caught my attention was what thread color was used to make the coverup - and bright spring color yellow against the midnight black cardigan. How interesting. She went against the rule of using same thread color for the same colored cloth. My mom wouldve fainted if she saw me sewing this way. I gave a gasp & pointed the mishap - she looked back at me, quickly covered the sewn spot with her hands and said "whatttt?... I called it creative..!" ... NICE..
Oh well, here's to inspirations, Roze!
